Atrium Arts Gallery presents "From Research To Artwork" an exhibit on Sienna Morris's Numberism work, featuring a glimpse into her research process and work from her lab.
Sienna recently completed a successful Kickstarter campaign to fund and build a science lab in her studio. Her current focus is studying the body, with an emphasis on the brain and eyeball. This gallery show will feature beautiful microscopy from her lab as well as the brand new never before seen sketches from her notes in the lab!
Come to the opening night of this gallery exhibit to meet the artist, explore Sienna's sketches, reference microscopy, and use one of her lab's own microscopes while enjoying original, limited edition and paper prints from her Numberism series.
The show will also feature music by Lucia Fasano.
The exhibit will run for the month of July. Gallery hours outside of opening night will be released soon.
Sienna Morris created the technique “Numberism” in 2008, drawing realistic images entirely with tiny numbers and equations by hand. Her ongoing Math and Science series focuses on illustrating the beauty of the scientific world in its natural setting, showing others that science and math are beautiful, accessible aspects of our lives. Sienna is self taught in both art and science and uses her Numberism technique as a learning device through her personal education.
