This month and for every First Thursday in the foreseeable future, Tab and I are opening up our Art Studio at the Everett Station lofts for a small private showing of our latest work. The Everett Station Lofts is a building dedicated to artist live work spaces. On the bottom floor, you will find gallery spaces, offering public monthly (some of them weekly or daily) exhibits of theirs or local artists work. The upper levels of the Everett Station lofts are Live-work Art Studios. This is where we live, and where we are inviting you to come visit us and our art once a month.
For September’s First Thursday, we’re focusing on Tab’s latest works in 3D, using open source software and hardware, including his new 3D printer, the Makerbot Replicator. 3D printing is a fairly new technology that’s taking off in the private sector as a tool to empower engineers, innovators and artists from a variety of fields to quickly and efficiently create the tools they need to complete their projects. Tab just recently added the Replicator to his resources. This installation marks the first of many projects utilizing this new and versatile machine. He may have a few things to say about it.
Reproductions of Tab’s 3D design, engineering plans and animation from the past four years are on display, along with videos of his special effects work in the film and art world.
Some of my original and limited edition Numberism artwork will be on display as well.
RSVP through Sienna.Morris@gmail.com with the number of guests you are bringing with you.
Should we reach our 45 limit, I’ll post about it here and on my other feeds. RSVPs beyond 45 will immediately be placed on next month’s list.
