I’m coming to Seattle! I will be at the 2nd annual Geek Girl Con at the Conference Center on 8th and Pike this very weekend. (Portlanders: don’t worry, my booth will be up in the usual place at Portland Saturday Market as well, run by my insanely awesome (and equally geeky) assistant, Heather. ) This isn’t just for girls and it isn’t just for geeks, but you’re most certainly welcome if you’re either. (Greg Rucka, an award winning (male) author is one of the guests, so this is most certainly not just for the girls.) From my understanding, Geek Girl Con has gone about the rigorous process of hunting down professional geek girls from all fields to pack into one weekend of art, gaming, comics books, science, sci fi, steampunk, cosplay and all things geek. From my experience, just about anything can be geeky depending on how you go about it. I think of myself as pretty geeky, so I signed up as soon as I heard about it. I’ll be in the Exhibitor Alley on the Third Floor with a few things I don’t normally have with me. For GGC, I’ve put together some 8 x 10 canvas prints, some affordable (very sciencey) posters which list the data right on them, as well as my Science and Math Tshirts. Cross your fingers. If all goes to plan, I’ll have a new shirt with me this weekend as well. Some of my usual arty wears are coming along as well, including one or two Limited Editions. If you haven’t purchased your tickets yet, do so now! I don’t get to come up to Seattle often. Cello Poster Schrodingers Cat Poster
Science Posters: $20 – $50 (These posters will be at GGC, not at PSM … yet)
